These are some guitar concept renders I produced. The body shape, contours and curved surfaces came from trying to make an instrument that is more ergonomic and feels more natural than a conventional guitar.
The renders were mainly a way of developing that direction visually and seeing how the proportions, carve lines and material choices worked together.
Alongside the body concepts, I also spent some time modelling headless bridge hardware. That was partly a mechanical exercise, but it still came from the same ergonomic thinking, as removing the headstock opens up different possibilities for balance, proportions and overall packaging.
These renders were a way of exploring how the mechanism might be arranged, adjusted and assembled.
These headless guitar concept renders followed on from the earlier body and hardware work. The headless layout was not just a styling exercise, but part of the same attempt to explore a more compact and ergonomic instrument.
The aim here was to pull those ideas together into a more complete design and see how the overall concept might look as a finished guitar.
